SFC develops, manufactures and markets highly reliable standard and semi-standard high-power platform solution for demanding requirements in laser, semi-conductor manufacturing equipment and analytical applications. Furthermore, SFC co-develops and manufactures highly complex and reliable coils & linear drives for the semi-conductor manufacturing equipment and analytical applications. SFC is operating from its R&D and manufacturing locations in Almelo, The Netherlands and Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

R&D Project Manager

As a R&D Project Manager, you are responsible for the executive planning and execution of R&D projects. You manage projects with respect to time, budget and the R&D workflow.

In your role, you will:

  • Conduct overall milestone planning and quote reviews, control, communication and management of projects;
  • Establish effective meetings with stakeholders;
  • Regularly inform customers about the progress of projects;
  • Implement and update action lists for projects;
  • Participate and give input in the selection of resources for the project;
  • Initiate and deliver risk and opportunity analyses;
  • Contribute to solving technical problems of the product and add process knowledge;
  • Investigate and introduce new technological developments to products and processes;
  • Manage and monitor measures in the field of quality, training, education, qualification, supervision, budget control, coordination of capacity and integrated product-life-cycle.

What should your background look like?:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical business administration or a similar field;
  • At least 5 years experience in R&D project management;
  • Understanding of the electronic manufacturing service (EMS) and knowledge of how mechanical and electro-mechanical components are manufactured;
  • You are analytical/numbers driven, cost-sensitive, can organize yourself and others;
  • Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint);
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English (C1).
