Furthermore, SFC co-develops and manufactures highly complex and reliable coils & linear drives for the semi-conductor manufacturing equipment and analytical applications. SFC is operating from its R&D and manufacturing locations in Almelo, The Netherlands and Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
During your internship you will:
Conduct market and regulatory research by identifying relevant existing EU laws, regulations, and standards.
Perform benchmarking by analyzing how other electronics companies implement digital product passports, including the data, technologies, and processes they use.
Explore technological solutions by evaluating options such as QR codes, NFC, RFID, blockchain, and cloud platforms for capturing and sharing product information.
Design a data model by developing a conceptual data model for an electronic product passport, covering product identification, material composition, environmental impact, maintenance history, and ownership transfer.
Carry out stakeholder interviews with internal departments (R&D, Supply Chain, Legal, Marketing) and external partners (suppliers, certification bodies) to identify requirements and constraints.
What should your background look like:
You are enrolled in a relevant study (e.g. Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Engineering, Environment & Safety, Process Management or similar)
You have basic knowledge of digital transformation.
You are interested in EU regulations, standards and compliance; particularly in the context of electronics.
You have an affinity with data modeling, digital systems and emerging technologies.
You have good communication skills and strong analytical skills.
You are motivated, self-driven and hands-on.
You speak Dutch and English.
