Supply Chain Specialist

Location: Cluj-Napoca, Romania

What is the purpose of your job?

The Supply Chain Specialist is in charge of dedicated product portfolios within SFC Energy. The purpose of the role is to coordinate communication and operational activities between the suppliers and internal stakeholders. We see the role as “the spider in the web” connecting dots between Purchasing, Sales and other departments, coordinating the released business. Our Supply Chain Specialist has broad ranging responsibilities in all aspects of Supply Chain operations and is responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day supply chain business results are achieved.

What are your responsibilities?

• The core responsibility is to make sure that all programs assigned to the role are implemented and active according QLTC standards;
• Responsible for particular group of commodities, for which you have to select the optimal supplier by making supply market analysis, which will include: a capacity plan / financial overview / quality analysis / delivery reliability score;
• Explore the global market in terms of supply options and delivery reliability;
• For assigned projects, track the stock level and improve methods of keeping stock, if needed;
• Maintain and updates ERP and make sure accuracy level is optimum;
• Create up to date cost calculations for assigned products;
• Track supplier/vendor performance using mitigation planning or zero-defect approach;
• Create an efficient and cost-effective supply chain to fulfil both, the company and customer needs
• Manage Requests for Quotes;
• Lead the weekly logistics meetings with main suppliers and report deviations; Assist, support and provide backup coverage for all Supply Chain team members.

What your background should look like:

• Minimum 3 years of supply chain and operations experience, preferably within an EMS company;
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management or a related field;
• Good English communication skills (both oral and written);
• Ability to work independently, organize and multi-task;
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes;
• Strong planning and problem-solving skills;
• Good MS Office level (Excel, Word, etc.);
• Experience in working with SAP, is a plus;
• Willingness to travel, occasionally, to external stakeholders.
