Furthermore, SFC co-develops and manufactures highly complex and reliable coils & linear drives for the semi-conductor manufacturing equipment and analytical applications. SFC is operating from its R&D and manufacturing locations in Almelo, The Netherlands and Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Location: Cluj-Napoca, Romania
As a Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist you will organize and implement internal safety, health, and environmental programs. You will work in close collaboration with all departments to promote a culture of care and responsibility for Safety, Health, and Environmental conditions and conduct.
• Create/revise risk assessments and prevention and protection plans; • Create/revise internal occupational health and safety guidelines; • Create/revise the training materials in the field of occupational health and safety; • Create/update training & testing programs as well as the general introductory materials and instruction materials for the mandatory and periodical occupational training sessions; • Draft/update the individual protective equipment requirements for workers; • Carry out general introductory training for workers and organize periodic training in order to increase workers’ awareness of accident prevention rules and measures; • Identify the areas that require occupational health and safety signage, decide on the type of signage required and on where the signs should be placed; • Collaborate with workers and/or workers’ representatives and the occupational physician for the purpose of coordinating prevention and protection measures; • Participate in investigations in the case of events causing temporary incapacity for work; • Advise worksite managers on their duties and responsibilities in the field of OSH; • Implement and improve the environmental management system as per the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 standard; monitor environmental programs together with the involved functions; • Audit departments and processes in accordance with the legal requirements and the ISO 14001 standard; participate in quality management system audits as per ISO 9001; carry out audits of subcontractors involved in the waste collection; • Recommend actions to remedy dangerous situations; approve the introduction of chemicals into the factory.
• Education: BSc in a technical field; • Previous experience: > 2 years of relevant work experience in Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Management; • Occupational Health and Safety inspector training – 80h; • Experience working with relevant standards and norms; • Adequate English level, both verbal and written communication skills; • Knowledge of relevant standards, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 9001; • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously; • Must be flexible, independent, and self-motivated.
