R&D Quality Engineer

SFC develops, manufactures and markets highly reliable standard and semi-standard high-power platform solution for demanding requirements in laser, semi-conductor manufacturing equipment and analytical applications. Furthermore, SFC co-develops and manufactures highly complex and reliable coils & linear drives for the semi-conductor manufacturing equipment and analytical applications. SFC is operating from its R&D and manufacturing locations in Almelo, The Netherlands and Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Location: Almelo, the Netherlands
As R&D Quality Engineer you analyze methods and system development to ensure products are designed, developed and manufactured to meet or exceed the customer’s requirements. You work closely with cross-functional teams to implement quality control measures, conduct audits and manage quality-related risks. You play a critical role in assuring the quality and integrity of the project, ensuring high-quality, reliable and safe products, customer satisfaction, and compliance with industry standards.
• Ensure that all project activities comply with customer requirements, applicable regulations and safety standards; • Ensure all project phases and milestones, comply with process flows of SFC, meet the relevant quality standards and have completed the required project/product deliverables; • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics to measure process and product quality throughout the development lifecycle; • Plan and conduct internal audits and risk assessments to analyse compliance with quality processes and project-specific quality requirements; • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any quality issues through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving tools such as 8D; • Monitor process of selection hazardous substances (MSDS), Material compliance (RoHS/REACH/TSCA/POP/PFAS/etc.) and product certifications (CSA/EMC); • Ensure implementation of Product traceability requirements in development and manufacturing processes (BOM, TPD, ERP); • Manage implementation of Initial Sampling Inspection Reports and product packaging logistics requirements; • Coordinate implementation of Product change/configuration management (Copy Exact); • Work closely with the project teams to lead and coordinate the process of the design of FMEA and the PFMEA and Control Plan (manufacturability).
• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Management or a similar field; • You have a background in the technical industry; • You have at least 5 years of experience in quality engineering; • You understand quality management systems (e.g. ISO standards) and regulatory requirements for electronic products; • You know quality tools and techniques; • You can work independently and under pressure and think critically; • You have attention to detail and good problem-solving skills; • You speak Dutch and English.
