Production Engineer (Clean Energy)

SFC develops, manufactures and markets highly reliable standard and semi-standard high-power platform solution for demanding requirements in laser, semi-conductor manufacturing equipment and analytical applications. Furthermore, SFC co-develops and manufactures highly complex and reliable coils & linear drives for the semi-conductor manufacturing equipment and analytical applications. SFC is operating from its R&D and manufacturing locations in Almelo, The Netherlands and Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Location: Cluj-Napoca
As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and cost-effectively while following health and safety regulations.
You will research and develop new production methods, analyze production data, and work with other departments to meet all production goals.
You will oversee the smooth operation of production lines, develop new techniques, modify existing designs, and participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement production projects, processes, procedures, instructions, and systems to meet production department objectives; • Ensure that a new product/process is introduced into production and that operators are properly trained; • Verify and validate FAT results; • Update and introduce production-related data into the ERP system; ensure that production orders are released into ERP software and that they are closed once completed; • Oversee continuous optimization and improvement of the assembly process (time, quality, and costs); • Ensure processes meet safety and quality standards; • Propose equipment for new products or process improvements, order tools for production, ensure timely availability, and check their functionality; monitor equipment calibration; • Maintain a smooth production process by implementing standard work methods and instructions; • Create, revise, and maintain detailed product and process documentation for training and compliance purposes; • Investigate production and process issues and provide technical support and training.
• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Engineering (Technical Background); • A minimum of 2 years of similar experience in a manufacturing environment; • Knowledge of process optimization techniques, lean manufacturing principles, quality standards, and statistical analysis; • ERP knowledge (SAP is a plus); • Microsoft Office Package knowledge (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook); • Good English communication skills (both oral and written); • Ability to deliver high-quality technical documentation (e.g. work instructions, product manual); • Communication skills, organization, and coordination of project teams; • Ability to compile reports and technical presentations; • Drive and determination, proactive approach to solving matters and finding solutions; • Persistent and structured, with a goal-oriented approach to work and strong analytical thinking; • Willingness to travel occasionally to our locations in Brunnthal (Germany) and/or to external stakeholders.
