NPI Engineer

SFC develops, manufactures and markets highly reliable standard and semi-standard high-power platform solution for demanding requirements in laser, semi-conductor manufacturing equipment and analytical applications. Furthermore, SFC co-develops and manufactures highly complex and reliable coils & linear drives for the semi-conductor manufacturing equipment and analytical applications. SFC is operating from its R&D and manufacturing locations in Almelo, The Netherlands and Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Location: Almelo, the Netherlands
As a NPI Engineer you will be responsible to manage and support the introduction of new electronic products from design to production. You will work closely with design engineering, operations, and supply chain to ensure that new products meet specifications. You will create and maintain technical product documentation (TPD) for prototypes and released products.
• Lead the NPI process for electronic products, managing projects from the development phase through to production. • Elaborate the design into general and technical product documentation. • Perform construction and engineering activities in the development of test equipment’s in accordance with specification. • Create and maintain documentation related to new product introduction, including work instructions, process flows, and technical specifications. • Interface with suppliers to coordinate material readiness and resolve technical issues. • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to review product specifications, design for manufacturability (DFM), and ensure scalability. • Analyse the design documentation with respect to errors and manufacturing. • Be responsible for handling Engineering Change Notice (ECN). • Support testing of qualifications of designs together with a Design Engineer. • Support external certification test institutes.
• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field. • You have at least 5 years of experience in in NPI engineering, preferably within the electronics manufacturing industry. • Strong understanding of electronic product development, manufacturing processes, and quality control. • You have experience with technical product documentation for design, prototyping, and testing of electrical products. • Solid project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. • You have strong trouble-shooting, problem-solving and documentation skills. • You can take ownership and responsibility, and have the ability to work well in a team environment. • You speak Dutch and English.
