We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented HW Electronic Design Engineer to join our team at SFC Energy SRL. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic systems and components for a variety of applications. This role requires a deep understanding of electronic principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. As a HW Electronic Design Engineer, you will be involved in all stages of product development, from initial concept through to production and support.
• Perform calculation and/or simulations as a proof of concept for the chosen topology (System, Electronics, Thermal, Electro-Magnetics, EMI); • Perform tests in order to use new technology into the design; • Develop/Engineer, based on our simulations-driven approach, a product which is ready to be manufactured, this contains activities like schematic design, layout of PCB’s, Component selection for a cost-effective Bill of Material (BOM) and Component design e.g. high frequency transformers and different types of coils; • Create detailed design documentation and specifications; • Delegate and monitor the mechanical design; • Verify the environmental, reliability and safety qualification of the design; • Analyze errors in manufacturing during the different design phases; • Support other departments such as Purchasing with e.g. components obsolescence and Sales with e.g. initial design requests, prototypes and testing; • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success; • Be up-to-date with the latest technology and incorporate new technologies into designs; • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback; • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations; • Support the development of test plans and test specification; • Mentor and guide other electronic design engineers.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics or similar a field; • Technical background in the electronics field with a strong understanding of electronic principles and components, if possible, in power electronics; • 8+ years of experience in electronic circuit design; • Hardware knowledge of power conversion: different converter topologies, dynamic behavior, ripple, thermal constraints; • Ability to work with specific instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power meters, electronic boards, etc.; • Knowledge of testing procedures; • Ability to work independently and to adapt to changes; • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, high attention to detail and strong organizational skills; • Advanced level of English.
