We are looking for an:

Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Cluj-Napoca, Romania


As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Research & Development department. You will be involved in a project that develops stationary fuel cells and energy solutions for clean power generation. You will have the opportunity to align with an international team, as we collaborate closely with our colleagues in the Netherlands and Germany. Together, we are involved in the whole design process, from the product idea right through to the manufacturing process. You will get to see the results of your work as production and R&D are located in the same facility. Our power generators are environmentally friendly, quiet, weather-independent, plug-and-play energy solutions for off-the-grid applications.


In your role you will be:

• Ensuring that installation and operations adhere to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical system specifications, technical drawings, and related documents for hydrogen fuel power systems and related systems;
• Ensuring that prototyping and operations are according to standards and customer requirements;
• Analysing the design in terms of manufacturing errors (DFMEA and PFMEA);
• Elaborating diagrams: key single line diagram; single line diagram; control circuit diagrams; connection and wiring diagram;
• Attending meetings with clients together with the PM;
• Report progress on project activities to the PM;
• Estimating duration, proposing, and agreeing, together with the PM, on deadlines for assigned design activities;
• Elaborating details for execution and technical design reports and specifications for the assembly process;
• Supervising and supporting the prototype assembly;
• Debugging/validating the prototypes.


What your background should look like:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ANRE II A Certification is a plus);
• 3+ years of relevant prior work experience in electrical design;
• Hands on experience in automation cabinets is an advantage;
• Proficiency in design software such as (AutoCAD, EPlan or SolidWorks Electrical);
• Knowledge of and experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software for 2D drafting and 3D modeling (AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical or Eplan);
• Knowledge of international standards and norms;
• Ability to understand and quickly apply new technologies;
• Good knowledge in technology-related areas (ATEX, etc.);
• Experience in cabinet and power/control system designing;
• Capacity to independently measure electronic/electrical circuits to ensure functionality;
• Ability to deal with complex technical issues and provide timely solutions;
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously;
• Flexible, independent and self-motivated;
• Willingness to occasionally travel between Cluj (main location) and Brunnthal (Germany).
